Colder conditions spread south
Becoming drier, brighter

Sunday
High pressure is to the west of Ireland on Sunday. Cloud clears from southern England through the day but leads to hazy sunshine here. Much brighter through central and northern areas and feeling a lot colder for everywhere. Showers will be heavy at times across northern Scotland, with the risk of some blizzard conditions over the Highlands and parts of the Grampians. Further showers may affect western Scotland, the north coast of Northern Ireland and one or two in northwest England. Temperatures rising to 6 or 7°C in northern Scotland, 11°C in southern England.


Sunday Night
A chilly night across the country with clear skies for most. Cloudier skies over the northern half of Scotland where light showers may affect some north-facing coasts and hills. These wintry over higher ground. Patches of mist or fog may form over southwestern areas while many areas will see a frost develop. Overnight lows from -1 to 4°C for most.
 


Monday
High pressure remains to the west of Scotland on Monday with lower pressure to the east. All areas will have a cold day. Further showers affect northern and eastern Scotland with one or two running down the eastern coasts of England as well as northern coasts of Northern Ireland. Elsewhere the day is going to be sunny and dry. High temperatures at 6 to 10°C.
 


Tuesday
High pressure over Scotland on Tuesday brings a dry and fine day to many areas. There will be a morning frost in places, but then plenty of sunshine and dry weather for most. A weak front over southern Ireland and southwest England may bring some cloud and spots of rain here. A few showers possbile too for southeastern parts of England. Temperatures rising to between 6 and 10°C.
