Drier for many Monday & Tuesday

Sunday
A wet day on Sunday with low pressure over England. There will be heavy periods of rain passing northwards through England and Wales and into Ireland, Northern Ireland and much of Scotland. The far north of Scotland stays drier with occasional showers to the west. Drier and brighter conditions follow from the south. Temperatures at 10 to 14°C for most, 17 or 18°C to the southeast of England.


Sunday Night
Rain over southern and central Scotland clears to the northeast overnight from Sunday into Monday. A mostly dry night across the UK and Ireland but there will be showers affecting western areas at times. Mostly cloudy too with overnight lows at 6 to 11C.

 
 
 


Monday
Monday may start drier for most with some bright or sunny spells though it will be cloudier to the northwest with showers over Scotland. An area of low pressure will be bringing cloud and showery rain into southern Ireland, Wales and much of southern England throughout the day. This becoming heavier and more persistent later. High temperatures at 10 to 15°C.
 


Tuesday
Tuesday could be a drier and brighter day for many as a ridge of high pressure briefly builds across the country. Low pressure holds on in southeast England bringing outbreaks of rain here while another low moves into the west of Ireland bringing rain here and increasing cloud across the western UK later. Highs at 11 to 15°C for most.
