Rain and showers in the southwest.

A cloudy but largely dry morning with only some developing sunny intervals. Meanwhile, outbreaks of rain affect southern Ireland, south Wales and southwest England. A brisk south-easterly wind for many.

The outbreaks of rain further south continue to push northwards during the afternoon. The rain turning patchy and showery across central and southern England into Wales, with a risk of thunder and lightning. Staying dry further north.

Outbreaks of rain continue to push northwards overnight, falling as more persistent spells through parts of Ireland into Northern Ireland, while largely patchy through England and Wales. Rain gaining momentum as it moves across southern Scotland through the early hours. Lows at 5C up to a muggier 12C in the south.
