Friday
Low pressure moves southwards on Friday. This is going to be bringing outbreaks of rain on a cold front across central and southern parts of England for a time. Behind the front sunny spells should develop but this could trigger off some showers across this area. Meanwhile, outbreaks of rain also affecting southern Scotland into northern England, parts of Wales as well as eastern regions of Ireland. Cloudier skies and some showers affecting northeast Scotland. Brighter and drier across Northern Ireland, much of Ireland and the rest of Scotland. A cool day for many with highs around 11 to 16C, 17 to 21C across parts of central and southern England.

Friday Night
Plenty of cloud across central areas of the UK, including Wales as well as the southwets of England and Ireland overnight. Patchy rain still expected for some here, heaviest across Wales and the southwest of England. Some clear spells and drier weather across parts of southern England. Better chance of lasting drier conditions and clear spells across northern and western Scotland, Northern Ireland and northwest Ireland. Lows at 3 to 5C across northwest Scotland, generally between 6 and 12C elsewhere.

Saturday
A slack area of low pressure across southern England on Saturday. This is going to be bringing cloud and some outbreaks of rain across England and Wales and into eastern parts of Ireland, possibly turning heavy and thundery at times across Wales, the Midlands into East Anglia. Dry for much of central and northern Scotland although there is a risk of some patchy rain in the far south of Scotland. Drier across northwestern parts of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Highs at 22C in the southeast, 16 to 19C for most other areas.

Sunday
A ridge of high pressure affects most of Ireland and the northern half of the UK on Sunday. Fair conditions here with sunny spells. Lower pressure to the south will be bringing cloudier skies to much of England and Wales with rain affecting here, heavy at times across southern and central areas. Some showers possible for central and eastern regions of Ireland. Highs at 17 to 22C.
