A change from Saturday with some rain. Staying warm in the southeast.

Scattered showers continue through the end of the week before rain moves in on Saturday from the west. Thereafter, a fresher south south-westerly flow is expected, bringing generally drier conditions for many.

Friday 19/6/20
Weak low pressure persists through Friday sweeping a band of patchy rain northwards across northern England and into Scotland as the day progresses. The far north should be bright for a time until the cloud thickens. Rain will affect western and central Scotland through the afternoon. Meanwhile, elsewhere showers, some heavy downpours, are expected to develop in association with the low pressure. However, any showers across southern parts of the UK should fizzle out as high pressure builds in from the south later on in the afternoon. Much of the UK overnight, with exception to the far north of Scotland, should be largely dry. Highs at 24C in the south and 17C in the north.

Saturday 20/6/20
Saturday will see this ridge of high pressure continue to bring largely dry conditions through much of Saturday, although cloud and winds are expected to build and freshen from the west as a low pressure and front advances eastwards. Ireland will see cloud build quickly and southerly winds strengthen with rain expected cross western and central parts through the morning with blustery showers developing after the band of rain passes. Southeastern England is expected to stay dry throughout. Starting fair for much of the UK with the best sunshine in the east. However, scattered showers will be developing as low pressure remains over Ireland. Highs at 22 to 26C, 19C in Ireland.

Sunday 21/6/20
First thing Sunday most central and eastern places will see cloudy and damp conditions. The band of rain with the associated front to the west will clear out over the North Sea through the morning allowing for drier conditions to develop behind as high pressure tends to build in across southern England and Ireland. Expect showers behind the front, mostly across western areas of northern England, Ireland and western Scotland where these showers will be blustery and squally throughout the day. Feeling fresher for most at 18C, warmer in the southeast at in southeast at 25C.

Monday 22/6/20
High pressure situated to the south and low pressure to the northwest of the UK will bring blustery southwesterly winds and showery outbreaks of rain across Ireland and the western and central parts of Scotland through Monday. Elsewhere, the high will bring lighter winds, particularly in the south, where it should also stay drier although scattered showers are expected to develop across northern and western England. Highs at 24C in southeast England, 18C across Ireland, and western Scotland.

Tuesday 23/6/20
The high pressure will push more eastwards to the UK with low pressure staying to the west. A largely dry day for many with sunny spells expected, although western places, particularly Ireland, will see some outbreaks of rain later in the day. Highs at 20 to 25C.

Wednesday 24/6/20
Currently, the trend is suggesting that high pressure will slip away into the near continent with low pressure and therefore more unsettled conditioned to come about on Wednesday. Expect some outbreaks fo rain over northern and western parts in particular. Highs at 19 to 25C.
