Showery, a risk of thunderstorms and feeling warm

Mixed weather continues through this week. There will be showers on most days and these will be heavy and thundery at times. It should be warm overall and lights will be generally light.

Sunday 14/6/20
The area of low pressure remains over Ireland on Sunday. It will be a muggy day for all with some sunny spells. However, heavy showers are likely to develop over Ireland, Wales and Southwest England, some thundery. Drier for northern and eastern England and Scotland, although isolated showers cannot be ruled out. Misty again over eastern coast of Scotland and north-east England. Highs at 18 to 25C.

Monday 15/6/20
Monday starts fair for much of the UK with the best sunshine in the east. However, showers will be developing as low pressure remains over Ireland, The showers heavy, and sometimes thundery, in the west. More persistent, heavier showers and thunderstorms, as well as more cloud are likely in Ireland. Highs at 21 to 23C in the east, 18C in the west and Ireland.
 

Tuesday 16/6/20
Low pressure over the UK on Tuesday. This brings sunny spells but also developing showers. The showers becoming heavier and thundery, most of them in the west. Highs at 23C in southeast England, 19C northern and western parts of the UK and Ireland.

 
 
 

Wednesday 17/6/20
A shallow area of low pressure is settled over the UK and Ireland on Wednesday. There will be sunny spells and showers, the showers heaviest in northern and western areas, a risk of them being thundery. Highs at 18C in northern Scotland, 26C in southeast England.

Thursday 18/6/20
Lower pressure remains on Thursday. There is the threat of some rain through Ireland and southern parts of the UK. Northern areas will be brighter and drier with sunny spells. Highs at 18 to 23C.

Friday 19/6/20
Low pressure is likely to be east of the UK on Friday. This bringing further showers, some heavy in the north and west. Brighter to the west with sunny spells and a scatering of showers. Highs at 17 to 21C.
