An approaching low pressure system to the southwest of the British Isles will give a cloudier day for most, even though some spells of brightness cannot be excluded. Through the day, outbreaks of rain will spread north, this mostly light and patchy. Rain may become more heavy later in the afternoon over southern coast of Ireland as well as southwest England and Wales. Afternoon temperatures at 12-13C over southern parts, but 8-9C elsewhere.

Sunday 10/03/2024
Another cloudy day with the easterly wind pushing some light rain or drizzle, with patchy snow over the Highlands. Further west it will be cloudy with outbreaks of rain, this clearing through the afternoon. Tops of 6-8C in north, and 10-12C in south. Patchy frost over Scotland overnight.


 

Monday 11/03/2024
A fairly cloudy day for the east with some light rain or drizzle in places, mostly over coastal counties. Drier further west with some spells of sunshine especially over western Scotland, and Ireland. Breezy, but winds will get lighter later. Frost developing overnight over Scotland. Temperature in the afternoon at 5-6C in north, and 9-10C in south.


 

Tuesday 12/03/2024
High pressure over the British Isles will give a cloudy but fairly dry day. Maybe a few showers over eastern coastal areas. Maximum temperatures at 6-7C in north, and 9-10C in south. Overnight frost in north.



 
 
 

Wednesday 13/03/2024
Another mostly dry day however cloud will be thick in places, especially over the west with some light rain or drizzle at times over Ireland. Generally light winds but a moderate breeze in west. Temperatures in the afternoon at around 7-9C for most parts. Patchy frost and fog for England.


 

Thursday 14/03/2024
While Ireland will see a cloudy day with outbreaks of rain, Scotland, England and Wales will be drier with some brightness possible in places. Maximum temperatures at 7C in north, and 9C in south.
