Wednesday
A fair and very warm start to Wednesday across much of central, eastern and southern England. Rain will be affecting northern England, Wales and the far west of Cornwall and Scilly Isles, with lots of cloud shrouding the hills. Drier but cloudy for most of Scotland and Ireland, although there will be some outbreaks of rain in southeastern Scotland. This afternoon sees the rain turning heavy and possibly thundery over Cornwall and Devon as well as Wales and northwest England as it becomes damp in the Midlands too. Dry in eastern and southern areas with more sunshine. A few showers in northern Scotland and western Ireland, otherwise dry. Highs at 28C in East Anglia and the southeast, feeling muggy. 21C in southern Ireland and eastern Scot;land, 17C in western Scotland.

Wednesday Night
A damp night through northeastern central and central southern parts of England. Outbreaks of rain passing east, with some low cloud shrouding hills. A further area of thundery rain reaching southeast England and East Anglia in the early hours. Dry for others with some clearer skies. A few showers in western Scotland and some drizzle could trouble western Ireland. Lows at 8C in central Scotland, a muggy 15C in southern England.

Thursday
A front over East Anglia and southeast England will be slow moving and will be bringing a wet day here with a risk of some heavy, thundery rain. Further rain affects western Ireland in the afternoon, reaching western Scotland later. Elsewhere it will be a dry day with sunny spells and broken cloud. The best sunshine in eastern Scotland, the Midlands and Wales. Tops at 25C in southern England, 22C in southern Ireland and 15C in northwest Scotland.

Friday
Pressure is mostly high across the country on Friday. A weak front gives cloud and some spots of rain in much of Scotland as well as parts of northwest England, Wales and southwest England. Brighter and drier in the west of Scotland and Ireland with sunny spells. Brighter for eastern and southern areas of England with some good spells of sunshine here. Feeling very warm. Highs at 28C in the southeast, 16C in the northwest.
