Wednesday
A fine morning for many areas with the best of the sunshine in the west. Eastern parts may always see some cloud drifting off the North Sea and bringing some spots of rain and drizzle. A strong east to northeast wind affects southern areas throughout. The afternoon sees little change with continuing strong winds in the south. Sunny spells for most, although some cloud in the far south of Ireland, southwest Wales and southwest England. Temperatures at 25C in the sunshine in the south, 21C in western Scotland and southern Ireland but 18C in any cloudier areas of the east coast.


Wednesday Night
Further outbreaks of rain here and there along the northeastern coasts of England and coasts of southeast Scotland. Dry for other areas with some good clear spells. An increase in cloud across the far south with a brisk breeze blowing through England, Wales and southern Ireland. Some showers may reach southern coasts of England later in the night. A chilly night in central Scotland at 5C, but generally 8 to 10C.


Thursday
Low pressure over northern France brings a strong east to northeast wind across southern counties of England. Some cloud here, but also bright spells. Generally dry, but the risk of a shower or two running along the coast. Sone cloud in eastern England bringing a few spots of rain. Other areas are going to have a dry day with a ridge of high pressure extending south from an anticyclone centred north of Scotland. Temperatures could get to 26C in any sunshine in southern England, mainly 20 to 22C in Scotland and 23C in southern Ireland.


Friday
Low pressure west of Ireland on Friday will be pushing a front eastwards. An area of thundery rain associated with the front wil ba moving through Ireland during the day, perhaps reaching the west of Wales and western Scotland as well as southwest England by evening. An increasing amount of mist, fog and some low cloud affecting western coasts and hills. More eastern and southern areas will be very warm and muggy but should be drier. A fair amount of cloud, although some sunny spells too, the best in the east. Some cloud and outbreaks of drizzle and light rain reaching eastern coasts of Scotland. Temperatures at 20 to 27C.
