High pressure remains dominant across the British Isles. There will be a weak front close to northwest Scotland and this may bring some cloud and a few spots of rain, more so to the islands here. Overall though the day is dry with lengthy spells of sunshine for most. Some fair-weather cloud building inland. Coasts best for greatest amounts of sun. Highs could get to 30C in southern England, 23 to 28C for most, 19 to 22C for Cumbria and Northern Ireland, 17C in northwest Scotland.

Monday night
Dry with clear skies for many places overnight. Cloudy toward the northwest of Scotland where a little rain is possible. Strong southwesterly winds too toward the northwest. Otherwise light winds. An easterly breeze near the south coast. Temperatures staying at 17C or above in London, otherwise falling to a comfortable 11 to 14C for many places, and a fresh 7 to 10C in rural areas of Wales and northern England.

Tuesday
Dry for most again through Tuesday with high pressure remaining. Best of the sunshine tending to be in south and southwestern areas. A little fair-weather cloud forming over eastern England. Some high cloud across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Windy toward northwest Scotland, where patchy rain may affect coastal areas. Highs 24 to 28C for much of England and Wales, 31C in southern England. Locally 24C northeast Scotland. 20 to 23C for Cumbria and Northern Ireland. 17C western Scotland.

Wednesday
High pressure brings fine weather and light winds to most of the British Isles with very warm conditions in the south. Extensive strong sunshine. A strong easterly breeze along the south coast. Rain-bearing fronts are kept away over the Atlantic to the northwest. A little more cloud toward northwest Scotland where a southwesterly breeze prevails. Top temperatures 29 to 33C for much of England and Wales, 23 to 27C for northwest England, Scotland and Ireland.
