Dry with sunny spells
Breezy south

Thursday
A chilly start in the north again on Thursday. Any mist and fog will soon lift to see another largely dry day with sunny spells, though a few scattered showers moving in off the North Sea on to some easternmost English counties cannot be ruled out. Cloud building across central and southern England through the day. Temperatures reaching to a warm 25 or 26C across southern England, more like 18 to 23C elsewhere.

Thursday Night
Clear spells for many for a time overnight, before cloud thickens in the south and from the west. Most staying dry, though through the early hours there is the risk of some heavier showers pushing north on to some southern English counties, while some light rain and or drizzle may just reach the far west of Ireland as well as the Western Isles by dawn. Lows at 8C in the north and 15 or 16C in the south.

Friday
Friday sees showery rain across some southern into central English counties, perhaps thundery for some along the southern coast. A few scattered showers pushing up into northern parts of England too. Patchy rain affecting the west of Ireland, Northern Ireland and the far west of Scotland. Sunny intervals elsewhere and staying dry. Highs at a very warm 27C across the southeast, 18 to 24C elsewhere.

Saturday
Low pressure is over Ireland and affects the UK through Saturday. Feeling muggy with plenty of cloud and bands of rather showery, sometimes thundery rain circulating around the low pressure. Windy in northern Scotland where it should be drier. Highs at a muggy 26C in the east, 19C in the west.
