High heat continues
Coastal mist & fog

Friday
Heatwave conditions continue further south with highs expected to reach and exceed 35C. Very warm too further north. Mist and fog patches for some once again first thing along North Sea coasts then a dry and fine day ahead with plenty of strong sunshine for most. The afternoon may just see more in the way of variable or hazy cloud creep northwards across England and Wales. Thicker cloud, mist and patchy rain affecting the far north and northwest of Scotland. Highs 31 to 36C for central and southern areas, 23 to 28C north and near coasts, cooler still in the very far north.

Friday night
Overnight, Low cloud, mist and fog looks to become more widespread across northern and coastal regions of Scotland, with mist developing down easternmost counties of England. Otherwise, it will be a dry night with clear spells. Lows at a warm and muggy 12 to 20C.

Saturday
Saturday will see another largely fine and hot day with plenty of sunny spells about, though more cloud cover is expected through north and northwest Scotland as well as western parts of Ireland. Mist and fog along the Scottish coasts could take time to lift too through the morning. A dry day for most though we cannot rule out the odd isolated shower developing later in the day. Highs 30 to 37C south, 23 to 28C north.

Sunday
Mist and fog is looking rather prominant across coastal areas of Scotland again this morning, but also down coasts of northeast England, some of it taking much of the morning to clear. Rather cloudy generally across Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland with scattered showers, some locally heavy and thundery. Meanwhile, much of England and Wales looking to stay mostly dry with sunny spells, though showers developing and pushing northwards by evening. Another muggy and hot day for many with highs at 23 to 34C.
