Morning Call - April 25, 2020
Sunny spells and dry
Cloudier in the West

Issued: 0530hrs Saturday 25nd April, 2020
Duty forecaster: Donal Considine

Good morning,

Western parts of Ireland may wake to some showery weather this morning and it will be quite cloudy for most of the Republic. Some broken cloud can be expected for some parts the UK, mainly to the east and south, and in Scotland, but it should be dry with sunny spells for many with temperatures readily climbing to the low to mid teens after a mild night.

The scattered showers will remain throughout the afternoon for many parts of central, western and eastern Ireland, with some showers spreading into Wales and south-east England too. The cloud is expected to thicken for Ireland and Wales, but it will remain clear and sunny for most of England, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Temperatures can be expected to climb again throughout the country into the high teens and low 20s having lost that cooling easterly breeze that has been a feature of the weather for most of the week. The warmest of the weather is expected for the north-west of Ireland, 20-22C likely

Showers and cloudy conditions will persist for many areas of Ireland and Wales tonight, remaining dry for other regions. We can expect a clear night for much of Britain, however some cloud may develop in Northern Scotland as the night progresses. With only a gentle northerly breeze, it will be mild tonight for many regions, especially under cloud cover.
