High pressure will reside to the east of Britain today, maintaining a warm southerly airflow across the country with hazy sunshine. Staying generally dry.

Slack areas of low pressure lie toward the northwest, and also around Biscay, with cloudier skies and a few showers locally in the northwest of Britain and Ireland.
 

Today's top temperatures reaching 19 to 22C for England & Wales, warmest in the Midlands and London area. Highs of 15 to 17C for Scotland & Ireland.
