Some cloud and rain for Scotland

Good morning,

High pressure to the east of Britain promotes a very warm south to southeasterly airflow. Hot and sunny across most of England and Wales.

A front to the west results in partly cloudy skies for Scotland and Ireland, although this tending to break to give some sun. Some rain for a time in the west & north of Scotland, with isolated showery bursts over the Highlands by afternoon.

Some Irish Sea coasts and perhaps also the tip of Cornwall may see banks of low cloud or fog for a few hours.

Today's top temperatures rising widely to 25 to 28C for England & Wales, locally topping 30C in the Home Counties. Highs of 21 to 24C for Scotland and Ireland, or cooler in the far northwest.

Have a great day.
Garry
