Increasing cloud, watery sunshine, but some outbreaks of rain this afternoon, mainly in western Scotland

A fair morning over much of England and Wales with good spells of sunshine east and south. Increasing cloud from the west making the sunshine hazy. That cud perhaps thickening enough to produce some spots of rain this afternoon across much of northern and western England as well as Wales.

For Scotland and Ireland cloud increases this morning, although it is a dry start to the day. Some brightness this morning with watery sunshine. Increasing cloud in western Scotland and western Scotland through this afternoon, bringing a few outbreaks of rain.

The outbreaks of rain in western Scotland become more persistent this evening with Ireland turning damp too. Patchy rain in northern Scotland and this affecting western Ireland too. Rain then becomes more persistent overnight as it spreads to northwest England and much of Wales.
