Morning Call - June 15, 2020
Further thundery showers
Mist & murk east

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 15th June 2020
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Further thundery showers are expected to flare up over the UK and Ireland today while northeastern and eastern areas hold onto misty and murky conditions. Mist should clear for most areas but may linger longer in isolated patches. Heaviest showers are expected through the afternoon over western parts of the British Isles.

Good Morning,

Monday starts dry for most with isolated showers becoming more widespread, thundery and intense as the morning progresses. Eastern coasts and hills will see a fair bit of low cloud, mist and murk first thing too.

Showers continue into the afternoon with the heaviest downpours expected over Ireland, Northern Ireland, north Wales, the northwest of England and the West Midlands. Showers developing elsewhere too with the best chance of staying dry to the east of the UK. Some eastern areas may hold onto low cloud and mist for much of the day however.

Showers tend to ease and fade into Monday evening though they may linger a while over western parts of the UK and Ireland. The best of the evening sun is expected to be in the far southwest and far northeast.

Have a good day!

Claire
