Morning Call - June 12, 2020
Muggy, rain & showers
Drier Scotland

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 12th June 2020
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Rain and showers, some heavy and thundery, muggy for many, drier in Scotland

An area of rain affecting southern England this morning will be heading northwards during the day. That rain could become heavy and sundry across Southwest England and Wales. A further area of rain affects northern England and southern Scotland, most of it only light and patchy. Rather muggy and misty with some outbreaks of rain and drizzle in Northern Ireland too. Lots of Scotland should have a dry morning although rather cloudy with the best sunshine in the far north. A windy day across northern England.

This afternoon seems heavy and thundery rain affecting Southwest England and south of Wales. Elsewhere showers through much of England, although eastern parts should be dry. An area of rain and drizzle will move onto coast of North East England and eastern Scotland. A few showers in Ireland. Dry with a fair amount of cloud in the rest of Scotland, the best sunshine in western Scotland.

Tonight sees rain across southern Ireland, Wales and the Midlands, some of it heavy and sundry at times. Drier across southern England although some showers affecting southern coast. Misty and murky for north eastern coast of England and eastern Scotland.
