Colder and showers, breezy too, fewer showers in Scotland and Ireland

Good morning,

A major change of weather today with colder conditions for all as the winds become northeasterly. There will be periods of rain and showers over England and Wales. There could be a few thundery bursts here and there, mostly over high ground of Wales and southwest England. Drier in western Scotland and much of central and western Ireland, but some showers in eastern Scotland and eastern Ireland. Further showers in eastern England.

This afternoon stays cool and breezy for all. A few showers in England and Wales. Better for Scotland and Ireland, with the best of the sunshine in Ireland too. Some further spots of rain over eastern coasts of England. Tonight brings some showers along eastern coasts of England, with more persistent rain in northwest Scotland. Elsewhere it si mainly dry with broken cloud.
