Often murky in east
A stagnant weather pattern over the next few days will result in an ongoing risk of thunderstorms. Warm and humid air resides across the British Isles, with the highest temperatures typically in the west and north-west. Eastern regions will be cooler and often gloomy due to extensive low cloud coming off the North Sea.

Slack pressure and areas of thundery rain moving around slowly. The focus of showers may move further north than earlier in the week, but will remain very hit and miss with low confidence of details. Some places may stay dry all day. Periods of sunshine. Murky for some North Sea coasts. Light winds and coastal sea breezes. Highs 18 to 25C, warmest central and western areas.

High pressure lies to the north-west, whilst slack low pressure stays to the south. A risk of local heavy showers or thunderstorms, but also plenty of dry and bright weather. Quite hazy, and murky around some coasts, especially in the east. Light winds, mainly east to north-easterly in northern Britain. Highs 17 to 24C.

High pressure stays to the north, maintaining dry weather for many, but with a risk of local showers or isolated thunderstorms, probably focused toward the south-west. Sunny periods for many, but low cloud may linger in the east. A general east or northeastrly breeze. Highs 17 to 24C.
Monday 04/06/18
High pressure tries to extend back south across the British Isles, bringing drier conditions for many. Isolated showers possible, probably in the south-west. A north-easterly breeze, cool on eastern coasts. Highs 17 to 24C.
Tuesday 05/06/18
A familiar east to northeasterly flow. Lots of dry and sunny weather. Warmest in the west. Local showers far south. Highs 17 to 23C.
Wednesday 06/06/18
High pressure stays nearby. Largely dry with plenty of sunshine. Some low cloud around coasts. Chance of local showers. Highs 17 to 23C.
