Morning Call - May 29, 2018
Dry for many
Thundery far south

Issued: 0530hrs Tuesday 29th May 2018
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Very warm again in north-west

Good morning,

High pressure remains centred north of Britain today, whilst a shallow area of low pressure lies to the south.

Thundery outbreaks for the English Channel and southern England, resulting in torrential bursts which may be locally frequent. Most places across central and northern Britain will be dry.

Murky around some eastern coasts, especially in the north-east. Plenty of warm sunshine, best toward the west and north-west.

Today's top temperatures will range from around 15C on North Sea coasts, whilst most inland areas will rise into the low 20s, locally 25C around London, and also up to 25C in western Scotland - aided by a foehn effect over the mountains.

Have a great day.
Garry
