Friday
A colder, bright and breezy day ahead. The northerly wind brings cloud and some showers to the north and east of Scotland as well as eastern coasts of England. Winds could reach gale force here. Further west it will be a brighter day with lots of sunshine. A few showers affecting the windward facing coasts and hills of Wales, western Scotland and western England, as well as northern and western Ireland. The winds lighter in the west although still breezy. Highs at 10 to 14C but feeling much colder than this in the wind.

Friday Night
An area of cloud and outbreaks of rain slides through the far south of Ireland and the far southwest of England overnight. Scattered showers in northeast and eastern Scotland, a few of them brushing the northeast coasts of England. Clearer skies for other areas allowing for a full in temperatures and a touch of frost. Lows at 0C in parts of northern England and Scotland, widely 2 to 4C, but 7C in the cloudier southwest.

Saturday
Low pressure in the North Sea will be bringing some showers onto eastern coasts of England, together with strong winds. Some cloud in southern Ireland and the far southwest of England with early periods of rain here. Elsewhere it starts cold, a touch of ground frost in sheltered areas. The rain clears from southwest England by the afternoon and then most places enjoy a chilly day with plenty of sunshine. A scattering of showers along eastern coasts. Windy across East Anglia. Highs at 10 to 14C.

Sunday
A chilly start to the day with some mist and fog patches in northern and western areas as well as a touch of ground frost. Plenty of sunshine during the day and mostly dry too. Eastern parts of England will again be troubled by some showers feeding in from the sea and it is here that it will be feeling coolest. Increased cloud across western parts of Ireland bringing the threat of some patchy rain later. Highs at 10 to 14C.
