Issued: 0530hrs Tuesday 11th April 2017
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Breezy; cool in north, mild south

Good morning,

High pressure lies to the south-west of the British Isles, whilst low pressure is to the north today.

Many places will remain dry - sunshine best in the south. Mostly cloudy in the north-west of Britain & Ireland, with spots of rain for some, whilst fronts bring persistent rain to north-west Scotland.

A brisk westerly breeze in the north, which will stay strong tonight and into Wednesday, with local gales. Lighter winds in the south.

Today's top temperatures will be 10C in the north-west, to 13C in central-northern England, and 15 or 16C in the south.

Have a great day.
Garry
