Morning Call - April 21, 2017
Largely dry, mild
Patchy rain north

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 21st April 2017
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Extensive cloud, some sun

Good morning,

High pressure lies west & south-west of the British Isles today. Many areas will be dry, but expect a lot of cloud.

A cold front drifts slowly south across Scotland, bringing patchy rain here. A little drizzle is also possible for north-west England & Wales, also northern coasts of Northern Ireland.

The best of the sunshine will be toward eastern and southern Britain, most widespread in the morning before cloud tends to fill in. The north & north-west stays cloudy much of the day, although brighter skies should extend into northern Scotland.

A general west to north-westerly breeze, although winds very light in the south-west. Today's top temperatures will be 15 to 17C in central areas, 13 to 15C in the west and north, but nearer 10 to 12C for Scotland.

Have a great day.
Garry
