Morning Call - April 14, 2017
Cloudy, patchy rain
Rain most persistent west

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 14th April 2017
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Breezy; some sunshine south-east

Good morning,

Low pressure is centred between Scotland and Iceland, resulting in a west to south-westerly flow across the British Isles today. High pressure lies to the south-west.

Weak fronts extend across the country, bringing extensive cloud and outbreaks of rain, most persistent in west Wales and north-west England, also Ireland. Rain should be more showery in nature for Scotland - falling as snow over the mountains.

East & southern counties of Britain should stay largely dry, with some sunshine around the coasts. There will be a fresh west to south-westerly breeze for most places.

Today's top temperatures will reach 13 or 14C in the south-east, 10 to 12C in the north & west, and 8C in northern Scotland.

Have a great day.
Garry
