Cloud east & south
Brighter north & west

Cloud and patchy rain England and Wales at first, brighter and breezier Scotland and Ireland

Good morning,

We've the remnants of a front across England and Wales this morning, bringing some drizzle and outbreaks of rain. The front is weakening all the time and so the rain will continue to get lighter and more patchy, eventually becoming confined to southeast England, East Anglia and the eastern Midlands.

Further west and north it is going to be a brighter morning. Sunny spells in Ireland and Scotland, the best of them in the east. Showers in western Scotland, some of them heavy, tending to ease in the afternoon. These brighter skies will be pushing into northern England, the Midlands, Wales and southwest England through the morning and afternoon.

Tonight brings some showers into the west of Scotland, northwest England, west Wales and Ireland, but for most it will be dry. Clear skies to the south and breezy in the north.
