More mixed weather with rain or showers for all, becoming cooler too

Conditions are going to be gradually turning more mixed and then unsettled into next week. Lower pressure is forecast to take control of the weather, bringing areas of showers and outbreaks of rain with it. It is likely to be cooler for a time, before temperatures tending to lift later.

Monday 27/4/20
A weak front bringing cloud and some scattered showers in England and Wales through Monday. There will be some brighter or sunny periods here too. Cloud and some showers across Ireland, northern England and Scotland too, those showers may merge into more persistent rain here and there. Feeling cooler for all, highs at 9C in northern Scotland, 18C in southern England.

Tuesday 28/4/20
A slack pressure flow on Tuesday. There could be some cloud and showery moving through Wales and southern England. Northern England, Scotland and Ireland will have sunny spells, but some showers forming over higher ground, especially in Scotland. Highs at 12C in northern Scotland, 17C in southern England.
 

Wednesday 29/4/20
An area of low pressure may drift into Ireland on Wednesday. This brings cloud and periods of rain and showers with it, although the detail in the timing and amount of rainfall remain uncertain. Temperatures at 10 to 17C, an early ground frost for some.

 
 
 

Thursday 30/4/20
Low pressure may remain over the UK and Ireland on Thursday. Rain bands are likely to swirl around the low, mosty of it in Scotland, with showers following to the wes and south. A breezy day with highs at 10 to 18C.

Friday 1/5/20
Another mixed day with low pressure in control of conditions. There will be some showers or longer spells of rain, these tending to drift from west to east. Some bright or sunny spells between the showers. Highs at 12 to 17C.

Saturday 2/5/20
Rain in Ireland and much of the west and north of the UK. Rain is likely to be light and patchy in eastern and southern areas. Temperatures around 14 to 19C.
