Col with rain and showers, but then much uncertainty next week
There is lots of uncertainty as to how the forecast develops into next week with signs that it could become drier again. Before that conditions are likely to be staying unsettled with periods of rain and showers at times. It will be feeling cool overall too.

Saturday 2/5/20 Low pressure east of the UK on Saturday brings a cool northwest wind and some showers to northern and eastern Scotland. Showers affecting eastern England too. More western and southern areas should be brighter with sunny spells. Highs at 12 to 15C.
Sunday 3/5/20 Low pressure to the west of Ireland on Sunday. Fronts bringing rain through Ireland and the west of the UK. Drier in other areas with some bright spells, the best of any sunshine in northern Scotland. Highs at 17C in the sunnier east, but just 12 to 15C in cloudier areas and perhaps only 9C over eastern coasts of Scotland.
Monday 4/5/20 Showery rain passes east on Monday. Following will be sunny spells and drier weather overall, although one or two showers could affect western coasts and hills. Tops near 12C in northern Scotland, but to 19C in southern England.
Tuesday 5/5/20 A slack pressure flow may bring a drier day for most on Tuesday. Note that confidence in the forecast detail is low. There are likely to be some sunny spells, but some showers could affect northern Scotland as well as the far south of England. Highs at 15 to 22C.
Wednesday 6/5/20 Much uncertainty in the forecast for Wednesday as forecast models offer a choice between wet weather and sunshine. Current thoughts area that eastern areas are dry and bright with sunny spells, whilst there is cloud and rain in the west. This forecast is likely to change. Highs at 13 to 21C.
Thursday 7/5/20 Higher pressure may win through on Thursday bringing a dry day with sunny spells. There could be some cloud and rain in more southern areas. Highs at 14 to 21C.
