Cloudy and cool across much of England and Wales this morning. There will be periods of rain across Wales and much of centra and southern England. Drier in northern England and southern Scotland, but some brighter weather in Ireland. Showers for Shetland and Orkney. Periods of rain and showers in much of western and southern Scotland as well as northwest England, wales, central and southern England, much of it light. Sunshine and showers in Ireland, but dry and brighter for the far north of Scotland. Drier too in the far southwest. A cooler day with highs at 7 to 11C fr many, but to 15C in southwest England and Ireland.

Tuesday Night
Showery burst of rain through western and southern Scotland as well as northern, central and eastern England tonight. Drier weather to the west with broken cloud. Drier too in the far north and northeast of Scotland. Lows at 0C under the clearer skies in northern Scotland, 5 to 7C elsewhere.
 

Wednesday
Low pressure west of Ireland on Wednesday, pushing fronts eastwards. These give a wet morning in Ireland, west Wales and southwest England. Patchy rain and showers affecting eastern Scotland and eastern England, but drier with a fair amount of cloud elsewhere. The rain then spreads north and east into the afternoon, turning wet in much of western and southern Scotland as well as the rest of England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Brighter and more showery weather following to Ireland and southwest England later. Breezy in the south with highs at 11 to 15C.

Thursday
Low pressure dominates the weather across the UK and Ireland on Thursday. Bands of rain surround the low pressure, one through Scotland and another probably in southern Ireland, Wales and central and southern England. Brighter between the two areas, but a scattering of showers here too. Highs at 11C in northern Scotland, 15C in the southeast.
