A significantly cooler day on Monday as high pressure drifts back into northern Scotland. Dry for most with the best sunny spells in western areas. There may be some cloud affecting southern coasts, perhaps with a few light showers here. Eastern coasts feeling particularly chilly. A brisk northeast wind in central and southern England, Wales and southern Ireland. Temperatures at just 6 to 8C on eastern coasts, 10 to 14C in western parts of the UK and western Ireland.


Monday night
Staying dry overnight with light winds for most. Breezy for northern and southern areas. Cloud builds over the northern half of the country through the night with clearer skies to the south. A cold night with a widespread frost developing as lows dip to -2 to 1C.

 
 
 


Tuesday
High pressure remains over eastern Scotland on Tuesday bringing a fair day for most, although an early frost. There will be some lengthy spells of sunshine for southern areas. Cloudier to the north, over much of Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern parts of England and Wales too. Highs at 10 to 15C.
 


Wednesday
High pressure is centred to the east of the UK on Wednesday. There is likely to be some cloud over eastern coasts and hills and perhaps to the north of Scotland as well. Best of the sunshine in western areas. Feeling cool in the breeze with high temperatures at 12 to 18C.
