Morning Call - July 08, 2018
Remaining Very Dry
Very Warm or Hot

Issued: 0530hrs Sunday 8th July 2018
Duty forecaster: Matthew Hugo

Remaining very warm and dry across many areas as high pressure continues to dominate the weather through Sunday.

Good morning,

It's a dry start to Sunday across many areas with bright or sunny spells despite some variable cloud. As the morning progress though and not a great deal of change will occur with plenty of sunny spells, variable cloud, light winds and soon becoming warm or very warm as the morning progresses. Thicker cloud is, however, likely to arrive across more northern areas of Scotland in association with a weak weather front.

Through the afternoon and no significant changes are forecast with some further bright or sunny spells for many areas and perhaps with some prolonged spells of sunshine across inland areas too and with light winds it will be another very warm if not locally hot afternoon across many areas, especially for central and southern areas of England and Wales. Thicker cloud is likely to continue across Scotland perhaps with a little patchy light rain or drizzle, but this the exception.

Into Sunday evening and after a very pleasant end to the day the night ahead will be dry with clear spells and some variable cloud. A mild or rather warm night for most, especially in towns and cities across England and Wales, but across Scotland a cooler and fresher night is forecast.

Matthew
