Sunny north but then showers developing this afternoon

Good morning,

Cloud over the southern half of England and Wales as wel as southern Ireland this morning. It is mostly dry, but just n odd shower may affect higher ground. Lots of sunshine in northern England and Scotland as well as in Ireland. This afternoon sees increasing cloud in the Midlands, Wales and northern England. A risk of showery affecting southern Wales and the southern Midlands. Further showers in Scotland, mostly on the hills. Showers too in central Ireland.

Any showers will be fading away through tonight. This should leav the night dry with clear skies.
