Cool north & west; warmest south-east

Good morning,

Low pressure is centred over the Atlantic north-west of the British Isles today, and will reside here for several days this week. A south to south-westerly airflow covers the country, with breezy conditions for most places.

A lot of cloud, and areas of rain or showers will advance north-eastwards, typically wettest in western Scotland, but locally elsewhere rain could persist over an hour or more. Some heavy bursts with isolated thunder possible in northern Britain and Ireland.

North-eastern areas of England and Scotland will be generally driest, with sunshine breaking through at times.

Fresh conditions for most places. Today's top temperatures in East Anglia and around London reaching 24 to 26C. Nearer 20 to 23C for central England, whilst the north & west of Britain will only reach 16 to 19C.

Have a great day.
Garry
