Morning Call - July 16, 2018
Fresher weather arriving
Very warm southeast

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 16th July 2018
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Very warm southeast, but cloud and rain spreading from the west with fresher weather following

Good morning,

A cold front is battling to pass eastwards through the country this morning. It's bringing cloud and periods of rain across northern England, the Midlands, eastern Wales and southern England. Much fresher air arriving in Ireland and the west of the UK together with isolated showers. Very warm with more sunshine in the southeast of England. This afternoon sees the rain in central and eastern England, generally falling as showery bursts rather than persistent rain. Sunny spells and isolated showers in the west of the UK and Ireland. More sunshine and very warm weather in East Anglia and southeast England.

The showers continue in eastern England tonight, but for most it's fresher and drier, just a few showers on western coasts and hills.
