Morning Call - July 12, 2018
Isolated Heavy Showers
Otherwise Remaining Dry and Warm

Issued: 0530hrs Thursday 12th July 2018
Duty forecaster: Matthew Hugo

Remaining dry across many areas on Thursday but locally heavy showers are a possibility now across some northern and western areas.

Good morning,

It's a dry start to Thursday across most areas with the exception of a few isolated showers in the north and west. Through the morning and mainly dry conditions will prevail with some bright or sunny spells, especially in the south and east but the shower risk will increase further north and west.

Through the afternoon and scattered locally heavy showers are possible across some parts of Scotland, extending down into parts of N England, perhaps Wales and the Midlands too. These certainly localised but perhaps bringing the first significant rainfall, locally, in some time across these regions. A warm afternoon for most.

Any residual evening showers soon clearing and then many areas experiencing a mainly dry night on Thursday night with clear spells, cool in the countryside but remaining rather warm in towns and cities.

Matthew
