Morning Call - April 23, 2018
Dry for many
Rain arriving west

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 23rd April 2018
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Fresher than recent days

Good morning,

A west to southwesterly breeze influences the British Isles today. High pressure extends from the Azores into Biscay, whilst low pressure is north of Britain.

Fronts moving in from the west bring rain or drizzle to Ireland, spreading to much of western Britain during the afternoon. Rain becoming more persistent later for west Wales and north-west England. Wind strengthening around Irish Sea coasts.

Fair weather toward the south and east throughout the day, with good amounts of sunshine, although cloud tending to thicken from the west.

Today's top temperatures will reach 15 to 17C in the south-east, but nearer 12 to 14C north and west.

Have a great day.
Garry
