Damp in the South and East
Drier Further North and West

Issued: 0530hrs Sunday 8th April 2018
Duty forecaster: Matthew Hugo

Some wet weather across more southern and eastern areas of England through the day, drier further north and west but with some showers.

Good morning,

It's an unsettled start to Sunday across more southern and south-eastern areas of England where it is mostly cloudy with some mainly light or moderate rain or drizzle. A chilly start further north and west though but with some sunny spells across Scotland and Ireland in particular.

Into Sunday evening and overnight and a persistent region of mostly cloudy and damp conditions is set to prevail across more southern and south-eastern areas of England. Elsewhere any evening showers will ease away and then many central, northern and western areas of the British Isles will have a mainly dry night with some clear spells and variable. Chilly in the north, milder elsewhere

Matthew
