Morning Call - April 22, 2018
Warm in south-east
Rain or showers north

Issued: 0530hrs Sunday 22nd April 2018
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Sunny and mostly dry southern England

Good morning,

A cold front will pass eastwards today introducing fresher air from the Atlantic, but it will be a warm day again in the south-east.

Low pressure centred toward the north-west of Scotland brings occasional rain or showers, mainly north and western Britain. Locally persistent rain for a few hours, but also some brighter and sunnier periods. Breezy in the north-west.

The remnants of overnight thundery rain will soon clear from East Anglia. Largely dry all day in southern England, with good amounts of sunshine around southern coasts.

Today's top temperatures will reach 22C in the London area, so it will be a warm day for the marathon. Elsewhere, nearer 14 to 17C, or cooler around western coasts.

Have a great day.
Garry
