Morning Call - April 27, 2018
Cold, wet south
Brighter north

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 27th April 2018
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Cold, wet and breezy southern areas, sunnier to the north

Good morning,

Get ready for a wet end to the week if you are in England and Wales today. Low pressure is bringing rain and windy weather through many areas this morning. The rain could be heavy at times especially in south Wales, southwest England an parts of the Midlands. The rain slips eastwards through this morning and into this afternoon, although it should become drier and brighter in more western areas later.

Much better weather in northern England, Scotland and Ireland. There will be a scattering of showers here but sunny spells are likely to be showing themselves for much of the day here.

Rain clears east this evening. A few showers affecting northeast Scotland overnight. For most it is going to become dry and clear and a touch of grass frost is likely in many sheltered areas by morning.
