Wet Weather Dominates
Cold At First, Milder Later

Low pressure will maintain unsettled weather through the forecast period with further rain and showers at times, cold at first, especially in the north, less-cold later

Easter Monday 02/4/18
Low pressure is currently set to become slow moving just to the south or south-west of the British Isles and this will mean further rain or showers for many areas, perhaps moving northwards through the day. The greatest risk of rain or showers though looks set to be across England, Wales and Ireland where some heavy rain or showers may be possible along with the risk of some sleet and snow developing across N Wales, perhaps the Midlands and N England too. Scotland is likely to be maintain a lot of dry and bright weather through the day. A rather cold day for the opening day of April, especially away from the far south, highs 2C to 5C in the north, 5C to 9C in the south.

Tuesday 03/4/18
Little change into next Tuesday at the moment. Some uncertainties over the details but it is still likely that low pressure will be dominating the weather across many areas, perhaps located just to the south-west of the British Isles. As a result all areas will maintain a risk of rain or showers, perhaps heavy at times across more southern and western areas, while wintry precipitation may remain a risk across northern high ground. Cold in the north still, highs 2C to 6C, milder in the south, 7C to 12C.

Wednesday 04/04/18
Low pressure is still likely to be slow moving near or over the British Isles by next Wednesday and while there are uncertainties over the details, further rain or showers are possible in many areas, with still an on-going risk of sleet and snow across northern hills. A potentially pronounced temperature variation between northern areas and southern areas may develop with cold weather persisting in the north, but much milder in the south. Windy. Highs 4C to 6C in the north, 8C to 13C in the south.

Thursday 05/04/18
Further wet weather may well be in evidence by next Thursday, especially across England and Wales, perhaps drier and colder across more northern areas. Temperatures may still be highly varied across the UK with colder weather persisting in the north, much milder in the south. Highs 4C to 7C in the north, 8C to 13C in the south.

Friday 06/04/18
Low pressure is likely to remain dominant to the west or south-west and maintain unsettled conditions across more northern and western areas where wet and windy weather may well dominate through the course of the day, while more southern and eastern areas are, perhaps, drier and brighter. Many areas generally becoming less-cold than of late, even in the north with temperatures nearer to the early April average for most regions. Highs 9C to 14C.

Saturday 07/04/18
At the moment next Saturday is still likely to be unsettled with low pressure the dominant feature and particularly across more northern and westenr areas where further wet and windy weather is possible, but perhaps still drier further south and east with some brighter intervals and scattered showers. The less-cold weather than compared with of late is likely to continue with temperatures near average. Highs 9C to 14C.
