Often Unsettled
Rather Cool or Cold

Low pressure maintains rain or showers, perhaps windy weather too through next week and then perhaps colder for Easter

For the weather for the next few days click here

Good Friday 30/3/18
A chilly start to Good Friday, especially in the north with some frost and icy patches. The unsettled weather from previous days will continue through the day with a risk of rain and showers moving northwards, perhaps especially across England and Wales with some sleet or wet snow possible on hills. Perhaps drier across parts of and Scotland for a time, but even here some rain or showers are likely later. Rather breezy and feeling chilly. Highs 5C to 10C, coldest in the north.

Saturday 31/3/18
Low pressure is set to continue to dominate through into Saturday at the moment bringing a further risk of some rain or showers at times, perhaps especially across England and Wales where some heavy rain or showers are possible, perhaps with some sleet or wet snow on hills. Perhaps drier across Scotland, especially W Scotland, but with showers across more northern and eastern areas. Still rather breezy and remaining chilly for the time of year with overnight frost and icy patches possible. Highs 5C to 10C.

Easter Sunday 01/04/18
Into Eastern Sunday and a new area of low pressure is set to develop and approach from the south-west, this is likely to maintain unsettled weather across more southern and western areas of the British Isles with further rain or showers, some perhaps heavy. It is likely to remain somewhat drier and brighter across SCotland in particular, despite some scattered showers. Some overnight frost and ice still possible, but perhaps less-cold than previous days. Highs 4C to 8C in the north, 7C to 12C in the south.

Easter Monday 02/04/18
Low pressure is currently set to become slow moving just to the south or south-west of the British Isles and this will mean further rain or showers for many areas, perhaps moving northwards through the day. The greatest risk of rain or showers though looks set to be across England, Wales and Ireland where some heavy rain or showers may be possible, while somewhat drier weather may still be possible across Scotland, but even here wet weather is likely through the day with sleet or snow on hills. Still chilly in the north, but nearer average temperatures elsewhere. Highs 4C to 8C in the north, 8C to 12C in the south.

Tuesday 03/04/18
Little change into next Tuesday at the moment. Uncertainties over the details but it is still likely that low pressure will be dominating the weather across many areas, perhaps located just to the south-west of the British Isles. As a result all areas will maintain a risk of rain or showers, perhaps heavy at times across more southern and western areas, still perhaps driest across parts of Scotland. Near average temperatures, highs 7C to 12C.

Wednesday 04/04/18
Low pressure is still likely to be slow moving near or over the British Isles by next Wednesday and this will maintain a risk of rain or showers still, especially across England and Wales, while drier and brighter weather may develop, at times, across Scotland. Still on the cool-side for early April but temperatures won't be too far from average. Highs 7C to 12C.
