Briefly more unsettled but then turning drier again, remaining mostly mild

Starting dry again this week, but the second half of the week briefly becomes more unsettled. Low pressure affects many areas, bringing this more unsettled weather, but then higher pressure is set to build again, settling things down and bringing a return to drier weather.

Wednesday 15/2/23
Starting dry in much of eastern and southern England on Wednesday. Fronts in Ireland will be bringing rain early in the morning as well as increased winds. The rain soon reaching western Scotland, western Wales and southwest England. Cloudier with outbreaks of rain then affecting mosty of northern England, the Midlands and southern England with some hills fog here. Tending to be drier in the far southeast as drier weather, albeit fairly cloudy affects the west. Highs at 7 to 12C.


Thursday 16/2/23
Low pressure crossing England and Wales in the morning taking periods of rain with it. This rain probably fairly patchy but lasting into the afternoon across southern areas of England, Wales and Ireland. Drier and brighter for Scotland and across northern England in the afternoon. Drizzle in western Ireland throughout the day. Highs at 9 to 12C.

Friday 17/2/23
Low pressure passing north of Scotland on Friday. This is likely to be bringing a windy day to all areas. Rain in northern and western Scotland as well as western and northern parts of Ireland. Drizzle in northwest England and the north and west of Wales. Dry and cloudy in other areas with an odd spot of drizzle here and there. Mist and fog over northern and western coasts and hills. Highs near 9C in northern Scotland but to 14C in southern England.

Saturday 18/2/23
A change again for Saturday as higher pressure builds. This brings a drier day with decent spells of sunshine for most and it should be dry. Feeling fresher to, perhaps col in Scotland. Highs at 6 to 12C.

Sunday 19/2/23
High pressure remains over the country on Sunday. There may be some fog patches on Sunday morning, but these lifting to leave sunny spells. Cloudier skies may affect the west. Highs at 9 to 12C.

Monday 20/2/23
High pressure remains over the south on Monday. This brings further dry weather with sunny spells for many. Cloudier skies in Scotland where a front brings some rain to the north and west. Tops near 10 to 14C.
