Mixed for all with mild weather in the south, then stormy later in the week

A mixed week ahead with rain and showers, most in the north and west. Southern areas will likely have more drier days, although some outbreaks of rain will occur here. Milder in the south although a little cooler in the north. Signs of stormier weather at the end of the week.

Monday 10/10/22
A front may bring some rain to southeast England early on Monday morning, but this will be clearing into the afternoon. Windy with some heavy showers in northern parts of Scotland. Elsewhere a ridge of high pressure builds bringing dry conditions and some sunny spells, the best of them in the east. Highs at 11C in northern Scotland, 16C in southern England.
 

Tuesday 11/10/22
A ridge of high pressure builds through much of the country. Dry with bright or sunny spells after morning mist and fog patches clear. Coud and outbreaks of rain in western Scotland and northwest Ireland. Highs at 12 to 15C.

Wednesday 12/10/22
High pressure east of the United Kingdom on Wednesday. A front pushing into Scotland, northern and western England and Wales bringing showery periods of rain, some of them heavy. brighter and drier weather follows to Ireland. Drier in eastern, southern and central England. Highs at 17C in the southeast, 10C in northern Scotland.

Thursday 13/10/22
A deep area of low pressure sweeping into western Ireland on Thursday bringing heavy rain and severe gales. Drier in the east with some sunny spells, although a risk of patchy rain in the south. Tops at 19C in the southeast, 12C in northwest Scotland.

Friday 14/10/22
The deep area of low pressure remains northwest of Scotland on Friday. Heavy rain and strong winds affecting all arreas. The rain clears to heavy showers with severe gales in the north and west. Tops at 9 to 16C.

Saturday 15/10/22
The area of low pressure is close to eastern Scotland on Saturday. A mix of sunshine and showers, the heaviest in the north and west. Feeling cooler as well. Highs at 8 to 14C.
