Staying unsettled with periods of rain, some of them heavy with strong winds

An unsettled week with low pressure bringing periods of rain, most of it in the west. The rain could be heavy at times into the early stages of next week with a risk of gales. Staying mild or very mild.

Friday 28/10/22
After a wet night in Ireland and western parts of Wales, England and Scotland, the rain will be clearing through Scotland and eastern England on Friday morning. Brighter weather follows from the west and south with drier conditions and sunny spells. Further rain may reach southern coasts of England towards the evening. A very mild day again at 21C in East Anglia, 16C in western areas.

Saturday 29/10/22
Low pressure to the southwest of Ireland on Saturday. A front passing north taking showery bursts of rain with it, clearing in the afternoon. Some showers in Scotland. Brighter in southern areas with sunny spells, although cloud increasing in the southwest later. Highs at 19C in the southeast, 14C in northern Scotland.

Sunday 30/10/22
Rain afecting Ireland as well as the west of England and Wales through Sunday. Further rain affecting northwest England. Eastern areas of England and Scotland will have a fair amount of cloud but should become brighter in the afternoon. Highs at 14 to 19C.

Monday 31/10/22
An unsettled day is possible with rain affecting many areas of the country. The rain could be heavy in the west and north. A windy day is possible too as a small area of low pressure passes through the country. Highs at 12 to 19C.

Tuesday 1/11/22
A further area of low pressure is expected to be passing into Ireland and the western UK on Wednesday. This could bring strong winds and heavy rain, most in the west. Highs at 12C in northern Scotland, 17C in southern England.

Wednesday 2/11/10/22
Low pressure remains through Wednesday. This brings windy, wet conditions with rain or heavy showers. Most of the showers in the west and south, but just about anywhere seeing them. Highs at 10 to 16C.
