Wednesday
A ridge of high pressure across much of the country through Wednesday. This is going to be bringing dry weather and sunny spells to most. Thicker cloud in central and northern Scotland, although bright and dry in the south. Outbreaks of rain and brisker winds in northern Scotland. Warm across much of England and Wales into southeast Ireland with highs here at 21 to 26C, highs at 19 or 20C further north and west

Wednesday Night
Overnight, it stays largely dry with many places seeing clear skies, though as the night progesses cloud looks to thicken across the Highlands and Western Isles as well as far western regions of Ireland where some patchy drizzle is to be expected. Also, one or two showers may just reach southwestern parts of England later. Lows at 8 to 13C.
 

Thursday
Thundery, heavy showers want to drift northwards from the Channel on Thursday reaching southern English counties initially then into parts of Wales and central England by afternoon. Some of these showers may just threaten some eastern Irish counties too, otherwise most other places across the UK and Ireland should stay dry though cloudier further west. Highs at a very warm 27C in southeast and east England, widely 23 to 26C but 15C in western Scotland.

Friday
Low pressure is expected to be close to Northern Ireland on Friday with cloud and rain expected to spread from west to east across Ireland and Northern Ireland. Meanwhile, sunny spells and a few thundery showers continue across central and eastern England where it will be feeling warm here again. The showers quickly pushing into Scotland where some may merge into longer spells of rain, heavy in places. Drier through southern English counties and Wales though some rain is expected to push into western areas here later. Temperatures warm at 26C in eastern England, 15C in Ireland.
