Issued: Saturday 18th June 2022 Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus
A mixed weather pattern overall, though hints of drier weather further west towards the end of June into July is currently expected.
*20/6/22 - 27/6/22* Lower pressure to the north of Scotland. More showers and or rain here with breezier conditions. Higher pressure further south. Largely dry though always a risk of showers. Heavier showers threaten far southern counties. Average to above average temperatures.
*27/6/22 - 4/7/22* Lower pressure generally over the UK brings more mixed conditions. Though higher pressure in Atlantic could inhibit much of the rain. Many days seeing largely dry weather but with the risk of showers. Average temperatures for the time of year.
*4/7/22 - 11/7/22* Ridge moves closer towards Ireland this week. Drier conditions further west, though showers further east. A north-westerly flow. Feeling warmer in the west though cooler in the east.
*11/7/22 - 18/7/22* Lose prominant high pressure ridge. A westerly wind flow sets up. Allowing lower pressure to move in off of the Atlantic. A more mixed week though shouldn't be too wet or unsettled. Some rain and or showers are to be expected on some days. Temperatures around average for the time of year.
