Light winds and a bright start to the day over much of the country. There will be sunny spells for England and Wales, some showers in western Ireland. Scattered showers affecting southern coasts of England, although these fading. This afternoon sees cloud thickening across Ireland, Wales and southwest England. Turning wet across much of Ireland, except the North, and with some patchy rain into Wales and southwest England. Dry for other areas, some sunny spells in the east. Highs at 22C in southern England, 17 to 19C in most other areas.

Tuesday Night
Rain through Wales and Ireland as well as Wales and England tonight. The rain reaching northern England and Northern Ireland by morning as well as the far south of Scotland. Some showers in eastern Scotland. Drier in southwest England and southern Wales and well as southern Ireland with stronger winds here. Heavy showers following to Ireland, southwest England and southern Wales. Lows at 7 to 11C.

Wednesday
A front will be passing east and north on Wednesday bringing rain across Northern Ireland, northern and eastern England in the morning. Brighter weather follows to Ireland, Wales, central and southern England with some showers in the west. Cloudy in central and northern Scotland. The afternoon sees the rain into southern Scotland, through Northern Ireland and northern England. Showers over west Wales and a few in Ireland. Scattered showers in central and southern England fading. A stiff westerly wind and highs at 18C in any sunshine, 15C in the cloud and rain.

Thursday
A fair morning for most with some bright or sunny spells across more eastern and southern parts of the country. Thicker cloud in Ireland will be bringing rain here in the morning. The fronts bringing the cloud and rain pass eastwards pushing rain into the west of Scotland, northwest England and the coasts of Wales by the evening. All areas will be cloudier through the afternoon, although still some bright spells in East Anglia and the southeast. Turning breezy too in the west and south. Highs at 21C in southeast England, 16C in northwest Scotland, more widely around 17 to 19C.
