Morning Call - July 01, 2022
Sunny spells and showers
Rain in far west

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 1st July 2022
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

Mixed with heavy showers in the north.

Northeast Scotland first thing will see again some persistent spells of rain before clearing here. Elsewhere during the morning there will be plenty of dry weather across Wales and southern England, though sunny spells and showers further north, these merging into longer spells of rain across northwest England pushing north into southern Scotland.

The afternoon sees sunny spells and showers across Scotland, spells of rain still towards the south before clearing eastwards. Showers across northern England too but largely dry further south and across Wales. Meanwhile, cloud thickens as rain advances from the west across Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Overnight, rain advances eastwards across Ireland into southern and western parts of Scotland, northern England, Wales and southwest England, clearing much of Ireland from midnight with showers pushing in on to western coasts thereafter. Staying dry further east across the UK.
