Local heavy showers

Good morning,

More cloud about today with some seeing developing heavy showers and perhaps thundery.

With a slack pressure gradient across the country any showers that do develop will be slow moving and could produce relatively high rainfall totals.

The showers most likely to develop across Wales into the Midlands and through southern and southwest England. Less sunshine than yesterday but some will see sunny spells and staying dry for many elsewhere across the country.

Feeling rather muggy across central and southern regions of England.

Overnight, a few showers continue though many places should remain dry. Best of any clear spells across the far south and southeast of England. Cloud builds across Ireland and Northern Ireland with outbreaks of rain in to mainly western areas here later in the night.
