Morning Call - December 13, 2016
Mild & damp
Drier Scotland

Issued: 0530hrs Tuesday 13th December 2016
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Mild and murky south and west, drier in Scotland with best sunshine in north

Good morning,

Plenty of murky and damp conditions around this morning over England, Wales and eastern Ireland and mild too. Most of that rain is patchy and light, but there could be a few more moderate bursts here and there at first. The rain probably fades from much of England and eastern Wales in the afternoon, although always drizzle over western hills and coasts of Wales and southern England.

Scotland is likely to be drier with lots of cloud around, and it stays mostly cloudy in Ireland too. A few brighter spells in Northern Ireland, with the best of any brightness in the northern Scotland. Increasing winds in Ireland and western Scotland as well as the far west of Wales and southwest England.

A breezy night in Scotland with outbreaks of rain in the west. More rain in Ireland and western parts of Wales and England. Damper with some low cloud and drizzle in the east of England and Wales.
